When is Caravan coming out?
Caravan is in App Review now and planned for the App Store in November 2026. This page gets the download link on launch day.
How does Caravan count my walking?
It reads walking and running distance from Apple Health, which your iPhone (and Apple Watch, if you have one) records anyway. You don’t start a workout or keep the app open. Caravan only reads from Health and never writes to it.
Are the places and history real?
Yes. Every stop is a real place on the road, and every fact was checked against at least two sources and then checked again. Legends are labelled as legends, and each postcard has a Report an error link.
What is free and what is Pro?
Free, with no time limit: chapter 1 of one road, every weekly story and the Year Wrapped. Caravan Pro adds every road and chapter, treasures and medals on every road, switching roads with your progress kept, and camel outfits. Pro is $4.99 a month, $29.99 a year or $59.99 once, with Family Sharing. There is no free trial: chapter 1 is the trial.
Does my health data leave my phone?
No. Caravan has no account and no server of its own. Your walking is read from Apple Health on the iPhone, your progress is worked out there, and nothing is uploaded or stored in iCloud. The App Store privacy label lists only Purchase History, not linked to you.
What happens if I miss a day?
Nothing bad. There are no streaks to lose: on rest days the camel rests by the fire, and the journey continues whenever you walk again.
Which devices does it run on?
Any iPhone with iOS 18 or later. Caravan is iPhone only, and the app is in English at launch.
