Nashi Privacy Policy

Nashi is built by trulyoffline. This privacy policy explains what data Nashi collects, stores, and shares. The short version: nothing.

What we collect

Nothing. Nashi does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on external servers. There are no analytics, no crash reporters, no telemetry of any kind.

What we share

Nothing. Because we collect nothing, there is nothing to share with anyone: no advertisers, no data brokers, no "business partners."

How your data is handled

All conversations happen on your device. Chat history is stored only in the app's own storage on your device. Nashi has no sync, no server of its own, and no way for us to access your conversations. Like other app data, your chats are included in your iPhone's iCloud or computer backup if you have backups turned on; downloaded models are excluded from backups. Deleting the app erases your chats from the device. Copies in existing backups remain until those backups are deleted or replaced.

AI model processing

The large language model runs entirely on your device using llama.cpp. Your prompts and the model's responses never leave your phone. The AI inference requires zero network connectivity.

Model downloads

Models are downloaded from Hugging Face, which hosts the model files. Like any web download, the request shows Hugging Face your IP address and the file requested. It carries no account identifier, because Nashi has no account system, and none of your chat content. See Hugging Face's privacy policy.

Third-party services

Nashi does not use any third-party services for AI inference, analytics, advertising, or user tracking. The only external interactions are model downloads from Hugging Face and Apple's standard App Store mechanisms for the purchase itself.

App Store privacy label

Nashi's App Store privacy label shows "Data Not Collected" because no data is collected.

Children's privacy

Nashi does not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children under 13. Since no data is collected at all, there is nothing to address under COPPA or similar regulations.

Changes to this policy

If we ever change this policy, we will update the "Last updated" date above and note the changes here. Given that the app collects no data, meaningful changes are unlikely.
