ScribeKit Terms of Use

By downloading or using ScribeKit, you agree to these terms.

What ScribeKit is

ScribeKit is a voice transcription app that runs speech recognition models on your device. It converts audio to text entirely on-device and does not require an internet connection for transcription.

ScribeKit is free to use for up to 10 new transcriptions per calendar month, with each recording or import up to 30 minutes long. ScribeKit Pro is an optional in-app purchase that removes the monthly limit and unlocks recordings and imports of up to 3 hours (90 minutes while a Whisper model is active), downloadable Whisper models, custom folders, Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets, and a ZIP export of all your transcripts and audio.

ScribeKit Pro is offered as:

a monthly subscription ($1.99 per month);
a yearly subscription ($9.99 per year), with a 7-day free trial for new subscribers;
a lifetime purchase ($19.99, one-time).

Prices are shown in your local currency in the app and may vary by country.

Subscriptions

Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; your account is charged for the renewal within 24 hours before the current period ends.

The free trial converts to a paid yearly subscription unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.

You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in Settings › Apple Account › Subscriptions on your device. Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep Pro until the end of the period you already paid for. Refunds are handled by Apple under the App Store's terms.

Lifetime purchase

The lifetime purchase is a one-time, non-recurring payment for the ScribeKit Pro features of the app on the App Store, including future Pro features, for as long as ScribeKit is available. It can be restored on your other devices signed in with the same Apple Account using Restore Purchases in the app.

Acceptable use

You may use ScribeKit for any lawful purpose. You are responsible for ensuring you have consent to record any conversations you transcribe. Recording others without their knowledge or consent may be illegal in your jurisdiction.

Transcription accuracy

Transcription accuracy depends on audio quality, language, accents and background noise. ScribeKit provides no guarantee of accuracy. Always review transcripts before relying on them for any important purpose.

Intellectual property

You own the audio you record and the transcripts ScribeKit generates. We make no claim to your content. The speech models are open-source and subject to their respective licenses, listed inside the app under About › Licenses.

Limitation of liability

ScribeKit is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, trulyoffline shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of ScribeKit after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
